No. You cannot do a food intolerance test. In the Food Intolerance test, IgG is measured from your blood sample. This Ab is raised in your body in response to the food item which your body is not tolerating to digest. So in the absence of the trigger, the IgG level in your blood may go down or insufficient to get detected by the test and you will get a false negative report. So you should include such food items in your daily diet or at least every other day for at least a month or 2. However, if the food concerned is causing extreme reactions/ symptoms, do not re-introduce it to your diet & inform the lab.

You need to give a minimum of 3 ml of a blood sample for both tests.

You should not avoid any food item min 4-5 weeks before the test. Or please inform the lab if you have restricted any food.

The Allergen test can measure as low as 0.3 Ku / l OF iGe Ab from your sample whereas FI test measures as low as 5 ug/ml for all food extracts.

False-positive test results may occur due to the cross-reactivity of the tested antigen with epitopes of other antigens. Antigenic epitopes may be lost during the production of food extracts, which may lead to false negative results. IgG antibodies to food antigens that occur only during industrial preparation, food preparation, or digestion may not be detectable in the patient sample.
